BECKET LOGAN: EPISODE SIX OF SEVEN is underway! The script is completed and shooting began last night, keeping us right on pace to bring this episode to the world just after the Thanksgiving holiday. This episode will feature some old friends and some new ones, and we'll release an exhaustive casting notice in two weeks here at tiedaypictures.com

We're also happy to announce that Tie Day Pictures will be working in collaboration with Jean Ann Douglass on the creation of a documentary detailing the production of some editing and some theme music that will be presented at the New Orleans Fringe Festival next weekend. Because the Tie Day team will be on site in the Big Easy with the show there will be no update next week, but we'll have much more news (and hopefully a story or two) when we check back in on the 20th.

Talk to you then,

-Kevin.

Casting on BECKET LOGAN: EPISODE FIVE OF SEVEN was completed this week, with the addition of JULIA FREY and the return of STEVE SHOWALTER and CARL COHN. Showalter and Cohn will be returning to their roles as Becket's coworkers Martin Sink and Bill Gray.

We also have a couple of exciting notes about developments here on the tiedaypictures.com website. Firstly, we've finally solved the problem on the .mp4 versions of the BECKET LOGAN episodes, so starting this week you should be able to download full episodes from the Becket Logan section of the site and play them on your IPod. We've also added a comments board on the "Contact" section of the site, so now you can leave us little love notes right here on the website for the whole world to see. Construction continutes on the site, but hopefully it will improve your Tie Day experience in the long run.

Thanks for stopping by,

BECKET LOGAN: EPISODE FIVE OF SEVEN continued shooting this week and remains on pace for a mid-September release. We have the latest screencap from the episode to the left and will continue to add images in the coming weeks.

We're also excited to welcome EVAN PRIZANT to the Tie Day team for this episode. Evan is currently featured in the New York Fringe production of SOME EDITING AND SOME THEME MUSIC, which we've been shamelessly plugging here at tiedaypictures.com for weeks, and we're very pleased to be welcoming him into the Becket Logan universe.

You also may have noticed some design changes around the site; we're trying to streamline things a little bit as we spread out our projects, so please bear with us while we're under construction. Once we're finished, the site will be cleaner and sleeker than ever.

And for anyone new to tiedaypictures.com, make sure to check out the first four episodes of BECKET LOGAN and Tie Day's first short film, OVERHEAD.

Until next week,

Friday, November 14, 2008

Good news loyal readers! Friday is Tie Day once again, and BECKET LOGAN: EPISODE TWO OF SEVEN has gone into the writing phase! We've got our first few scenes down, and I'm really excited to see the direction we're going to go.

It's been an interesting process to work on EPISODE TWO thus far. I felt very attached to EPISODE ONE, and felt it had a great conclusion, but now I am learning what it is like to rediscover characters and themes again and bring them back into your work, albeit it in a new and (hopefully) exciting way. Its rare to have the opportunity to revisit old characters in new scenarios, so this is a demanding and fascinating new process for me. Also, I'm trying to focus more on making EPISODE TWO more technically precise, so there's a lot to be thought about these days.

Beyond that, we've even begun casting for future Becket Logan stories, before scripts are fully completed and stories fleshed out. It's really thrilling to picture actors in roles, and it gives Kevin and I a good idea of how to write the dialogue.

If you haven't yet, check out our new (ish) contact and links page, and revisit Becket Logan Episode One of Seven. Be sure, once again, to forward it off to your friends!

Keep tuning in here for further updates on Tie Day's projects, and to learn more about Becket Logan!

This week marks the first installment of the "Friday is Tie Day" blog, where we'll give you a weekly update on the goings-on and new developments here at Tie Day Pictures.

BECKET LOGAN: EPISODE ONE OF SEVEN has been online for a week now, and we'd like to thank you all for the positive response! We have begun the writing process for EPISODE TWO OF SEVEN, and your encouragement has been a great motivator in getting the ball rolling again.

We have gotten some questions about the music we used at the end of the episode and in the trailer. The song, "WHY DO YOU DO ME LIKE YOU DO," comes from The Sads; you can check them out at their website, www.myspace.com/thesads.

Now that all that professionalism is out of the way, we'd like to take a moment to grovel at the feet of you, dear reader, and ask that you forward BECKET LOGAN: EPISODE ONE OF SEVEN to as many friends as possible! We'd love to expand our fan base as far beyond the people directly involved in the project, and that power is in your hands. Make it happen!

We'd also encourage you to sign up for the Tie Day Pictures mailing list, so that we can notify you when new stuff hits the site; if you'd like to be kept in the loop, send an email to info@tiedaypictures.com!

That's all for now. Enjoy your Halloween (if any of you dressed as Becket Logan, be sure to send your pictures in!), and check back next week for another update!
